    כָּרַךְ(cmp. כָּרָה) to encircle, twine around, embrace, wrap. Men.39a תכלת שכ׳ רובה a fringe the larger portion of which he twined together (v. תְּכֵלֶת). Ib. כדי שיִכְרוֹךְ וישנהוכ׳ enough to twine around three times. Yoma 38a כְּרָכָהּ embraced it (clung to the bronze door). Sabb.133b וכָרְכֵהוּ בשיראין נאין Ms. M. (ed. וכוֹרְכוֹ) and twine handsome ribbons around it. Pes.115a; Zeb.79a היה כוֹרְכָןוכ׳ used to wrap them together (insert the Passover meat and the bitter herb between the Matsah). Ab. Zar.18a כְּרָבוּהוּ בס״תוכ׳ they wrapped him in a scroll of the Law and burned him.
